Why we created a training facility . . .
Rose and Jamie met in 2006 with the love of Experiential Play Therapy in common. They began training with international experts Drs. Byron and Carol Norton (Experiential Play Therapy) and Dr. Barbara Turner (Sandplay) to become top quality play therapists and earn their RPT-S certifications through APT. In the course of finding quality trainings, they traveled great distances from their rural Buffalo, Wyoming, location. Their belief in the healing powers of Experiential Play Therapy and Sandplay led them to create and host the best training possible at minimal cost to therapists. In addition to live trainings, PTTI of WY offers Live Intensive Play Therapy Training, webinars, online classes, and guest presenters who are top experts in the field.
I am so excited to reach out to other therapists and provide training, supervision, and consultation opportunities to promote play therapy. Twenty years ago, I transformed my teaching career to include counseling children and adolescents. My love for teaching and counseling is the perfect combination for me. I am an international teacher of Jungian Sandplay and Experiential Play Therapy. I enjoy supervising new clinicians in addition to providing consultation for play therapy and Sandplay therapists worldwide. My passion for helping children, adolescents, and adults heal from trauma inspires me daily.

I have always been interested in helping people. I feel I found my niche in the counseling profession. After being an elementary school counselor, I wanted to reach clients on a deeper therapeutic level in the private sector. I have found my true passion in Experiential Play Therapy and Sandplay Therapy. I enjoy working with all ages, but I particularly love young children. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences by training new therapists with the Play Therapy Training Institute.
