Goals and Learning Objectives
The purpose of this training is to:
• Become versed in how to introduce Sandplay to parents & children in play therapy
• Be familiar with the special issues involved in working with younger children in Sandplay therapy
• Understand the gender difference Dora Kalff saw in the trays of latency age children in play therapy
• Recognize the developmental characteristics of the construction of children’s sand trays in Sandplay therapy
• Understand the importance of record-keeping in Sandplay & have practical methods available to implement in a variety of circumstances in
Sandplay therapy
• Understand how and when to involve the parents in the child’s Sandplay
• Learn how to stop the play therapy session with younger children
• Understand and develop practical tools for terminating with children in Sandplay therapy
AGENDA: There will be a short (5 minute) break approximately half-way through the webinar.
